10U Chaos

Welcome to the Chaos! I’m head coach Becky Smith, and I’m excited to introduce the 10U Chaos Softball Club! This group of smart, talented, and well-rounded girls will play their inaugural travel season starting in 2025. I’ll be joined by a seasoned group of assistant coaches: Jeff Miller, Lynnie Heath, and Remy Wallace.

As coaches, we teach our players that attitude and effort are the two things they can always control. No matter their skill level or experience, these are the qualities that will define their growth as athletes and as individuals. While talent can take you so far, it’s the attitude and effort you put into everything you do that ultimately separates the great players from the good ones—and the great teams from the average ones.

A great attitude is the foundation of success, not just in sports, but in life. It means showing up daily with a positive mindset, no matter what challenges come your way. Whether you’re winning or losing, going 3 for 3, or struggling to make plays, your attitude can change an entire game. Our team focuses on being good teammates, supporting each other, and always striving to improve. Practice makes progress, and a great attitude is contagious.

Effort is what drives progress. When you give your best, even when no one is watching, you’re setting yourself up for success. Effort is working hard in every drill, hustling to every base, and giving 100% even when you’re tired or frustrated. Effort doesn’t always mean being perfect—it
means putting in the work, staying focused, and never giving up. Your effort will speak louder than any scoreboard.

On the 10U Chaos, we stress attitude and effort in everything we do because we believe that our role goes beyond teaching just the technical skills of softball. We are here to help shape these
young athletes into strong, confident, and compassionate leaders who will make a positive impact on their communities whether they continue playing the game or choose a different path. Softball is a powerful tool for building leadership, teamwork, and personal responsibility, and we are committed to helping each of these players grow into the best versions of themselves both on and off the field.
